I don't believe so. If I'm not mistaken .8bf files were Filter Factory files? If so, there were different versions for Mac and Windows users. There was a way to translate from one platform to another but Mac OS X has changed everything. Even old Mac Filter Factory filters no longer work with OS X. Again there's a however... a Filter Factory equivalent called Filter Foundry has been created and released for Mac and Windows and older files can be updated for the newer OS and versions of Photoshop but the files are still platform specific.
