    Blender3D on Panther

I downloaded Blender3D recently and installed it on OS X 10.3.9. When I try to run it, I get a single bounce in the dock and it goes away. Acording to their site, this could be because of too large a monitor resolution or multiple monitors. To fix this you launch with a command line switch from the terminal. Did that... same result.

Anyone familiar with this software on this platform have any advice? Would love to play with Blender but having no luck. I check permissions on the disk as well as manually checking the folder and it's files. I am the administrator on this machine.
