    Want recomendation for 3d program

    My first post!

Im looking to learn a 3d program mostly to be able to design logtypes, the flashy, space looking blocky ones. The ones with the light effects on them and the gizmos and 3d desgined frames and stuff! You know which one im talking about!

:P Seriously, is there any special program that is better or this?

I'm confused as what it is what you're looking for (and I do have experience with 3D software, in my case Cinema 4D).
Maybe these programs might do the job:

I understand completely that you are confused. The reason that i want to learn a 3D program is mostly for designing LOGOS and the things that surround or frame them. No landscapes or 3d models of techological stuff. I dont know of there are any such differences, jsut wanted to know if there is one program that is better for such things.

Well, to be honest, there is nothing that I would call "easy 3D software". Sure, Ulead Cool 3D or Xara 3D are pretty simple, but once you want more than just using some basic shapes (which get pretty boring very fast) you can't get around the more complicated modeling tools. That doesn't mean you really need expensive programs like Cinema 4D, Lightwave, Maya, 3DS Max, etc or even a reasonable complicated free program like blender, no you can use the rather easy to use Wings 3D instead and achieve some amazing results. The point I'm trying to make is; there is no easy way of doing 3D modeling beyond basic shapes, don't start looking for it, because you won't find it lautaro.

Once again good answer. I tried the Xara demo, and i see what you mean. Amazingly well thought through and inuitiative. I just instanylu knew how to do everyyhing. But in 1 hour i realized that everything would end up looking more or less the same after a while.

One question about the "real" 3d renders. Is there any programm that lets you take a font and start with it to create your model? Or does that work with all good 3d renderers? (it must be really tough to build up a text from just shapes)

No, for the majority of program you don't need to model the text yourself. Most of these programs have a text tool that allow you to type text like you would type text in Photoshop. You can also adjust parameters like font, size, italics, etc. The next step in Cinema 4D for example would be to attach an extrude nurbs object to the text object (like in this tutorial http://www.tutorialguide.net/create_..._tutorial.html ) which will change the 2D text path into solid 3D text. You can then adjust lighting, add texture, bevels, etc.
To be honest... creating 3D text is one of the easiest things to do with any 3D program.

Well, for creating cool realistik logos it would be Maya or 3DsMax. But there is actually a programm called Swift3D. As i heard, it is capable with Flash FX. But they all require lots and lots of study
