    Barcode print question

Hello looks like a great forum!

I'm going to be offset printing a cd package. I need to apply a barcode, my printer told me to make an adjustment and I don't know what he meant.

"for the black color, it has to be “K” only, not a CMYK black."

What does this mean and how do I do this?

A barcode seems like a pretty easy thing to do, right? Is this a job for illustrator or can I do it in PS?

Does anybody know a good place to buy barcodes by any chance?

    Any input is appreciated!

    Thanks
    Todd
