help!

I can't believe how much trouble I'm having with such a simple task. I want to duplicate a layer in Painter 12.

That's it. I found Painter help, that said use the layer selection (?) tool, and ALT+click on the image. Didn't work.

Please tell me there's a simple way to do this?

Top Menu: Layers/Duplicate Layer.... doesn´t work for you?

edit: I withdraw that. I see it´s not working on the canvas . The only way seem to be to go: Layers / Lift Canvas to Watercolor Layer.

Is is because it's a watercolor layer? I'll have to try that when I get home tonight.
