Trying to post Intro, but error has occurred

I have been trying to post an Intro in the Intro section, but I keep getting the following error:

An error has occurred edsager! You must have 8 posts in order to post links. Your current post count is 0.

I was not trying to post anything with a link. I typed the Intro in Notebook and then copied and pasted it into the forum.

    Not sure what to do.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you,
    edsager

Sorry about that, as long as there's no link you shouldn't have had a problem.
I'll make sure one of the administrators is aware of this.

If you had something with the syntax of a link in it then you would get that message. Remove whatever looks like a link and you should be fine.

I used the "at" symbol. Once it was gone, the post was fine. Thank you.
