Selectively colorize an image

In this tutorial we will show you how to colorize an image selectively in Photoshop CS2.

Steps to follow:
1. Open the image to which you want to apply color in Photoshop.
2. Now right click on the adjustments layer button and then click on gradient map.
3. Turn the foreground color to white or press X from keyboard.
4. Highlight the gradient map.
5. Now take brush tool from the tools palette and start painting on the area you want to colorize.
6. Change the brush size while painting to have the perfect selection.
7. Use short cut of painting by holding down the shift key and left clicking from the mouse to make straight selection.
8. If you have extra selection of the image turn the foreground color to black and paint back to fix it.
9. Use your skills to make perfect selection by painting slowly and steadily. In this way you can colorize your image selectively.
