Much it is a bummer though all though from what I have seen I really dont see much difference in in cs6 from cs5 in fact the only real difference I have seen in a launch promo is they have more blur options in the filter menu which is pretty much a basic version of alien skin Bokah filter. But then they did not release much about cs5 until just before the release. I have seen videos on youtube though with the leaked version of photoshop but that has just turned out to be a hacked version of cs5. But so far I am not upgrading.

In the long run though it's much cheaper to upgrade every version than to skip a version and pay full price.
It's one thing when you're talking about a $49 program but this is a lot of money.

Well I have heard they are taking After effects forward with full 3d rendering projects I think they will start with just text and basic shapes like photoshop but it is about time they caught up with 3d video. 3d or 4d however you see it.

Going by my length of time with CS2 until i changed to CS5 it will probably be 2017 lol.

will have to do sum investigation but what are all these cs2 cs5 programs? are they like psp9 or just individual programs that do a specific thing or are they more like psp9 the best program out there as far as i'm concerned ......... do i need to upgrade? seriously psp9 at the mo does all i need, or am i missing out?

There was one thing that got my attention about Dw CS5.5 and that is the added code hinting for jQuery. Dw CS5 can handle HTML5 and CSS 3, but beyond that I don't see much of a point to upgrade. I'm sure there's some added functionality for the rest of the CS5.5 applications, but if I know these things those added aspects of functionality are probably so obscure that it's pointless to spend the money to upgrade.

These applications are upgrades to the former CS version. Currently we are at Creative Suite 5.5. And that upgrade only pertains to a handful of the Adobe applications.
