[Request] Please help me with a christmas present I'm putting together
Hi all,
Firstly, I'm ashamed to say that I've signed up to this forum so that I can make this request. I'm confident that, given about a fortnight of struggling with youtube tutorials, I'd be able to do it myself, but I'm never going to be able to find the time for it. My photoshop skills only go as far as playing about with monochrome comic stips, I'm afraid.
The request is as follows: I want to put my friend's face into an old-timey portrait so I can print it and give it to him as a Christmas present; I'm always telling him how posh he is and I'm going for the 'portrait over the fireplace' thing to wind him up.
Therefore, if you could shop his face (he's the bloke on the right, sorry about the res) onto the portrait of Francis Drake and make it look as much like the original painting as possible, I'd be most grateful.
I bet you guys must be so sick of people going 'please do all the work for me', so please feel absolutely free to tell me to shove off.

These are all nicely done. I like pcride's best because of the way the face is treated as an old, slightly yellowed painting
Welcome to PSG oyyouno and don't be embarrassed or think people won't help. Many of us like to do these projects for people. Especially when the requestor is polite like you are. These are some great jobs done for you. You would have a better bet if you were able to get a higher res photo as folk suggested. There's plenty of time before Christmas, and as you can see, you won't have long to wait for results from the gurus
