    Photoshop quiz thread

Ok it is a slow night so I thought we could start a trivia thread but hopefully learn some tips along the way. So this is how it works I will give a question and the 1st person to give a correct response gets to set the next question. labeling it Question 2 on the post clearly.

so Question 1 How would you use Gaussian Blur to sharpen an image. And I do not mean blur the background so the front elements look sharper I mean actually add sharpening to an image

It really depends on the image but sometimes you can duplicate the original photo, use blur on top photo or layer.
the degree of blur would depend on the image is that what you're referring to

No I was actually referring to using gaussian blur to sharpen an image there is something you can do to get similar effects as a high pass filter but with more accuracy. This technique has been famous by a german Guy named Calvonise Hollywood. Ok another big clue What do you do to a layer to make it act the opposite to how it normally would.

    Re: Photoshop quiz thread

Ok so google does not seem to provide an answer so maybe it is because I have bought all Calvins English spoken Dvds but soon to become available on Kelby training if you have a subscription there. He really does some amazing pictures and basically turns photoshop into topaz labs in some cases. So watch his stuff to get topaz effects without topaz.
Here is 1 of the free samples available from 1 of his sites. It does not demonstrate the question as well as his other stuff but I dont want to be sharingnone free stuff.
iDad you can set the next question.
