Could some one do a Tutorial for an Image Like This?

I played around with this idea, partly because I've only tried it once or twice, the first time using the Obama tutorial. This image is by Mike Campau & Seventh Street. This took me more steps than the original artist made. Or maybe not, but rephrasing, I'd say more experimental steps. I created a pattern with the pen tool for the horizontal lines on the face, but doubt that it was done as a blend mode overlay as I did. Just using a pen tool to make a repeating pattern and transforming it when necessary, clipping it to the desired layer, ie: face, clothes, may be the method used. Anyway, it was a fun experiment as I had the time today. So thanks for the question!
