How do you create rounded fine edge on a complex shape?? please help

Hi guys,

I have this motif shape i am working on and it looks too pixalated. I'm trying to make the edges fine and rounded and smooth, iv tried the layers method, gaussian blur technique but still cant get it to look smooth.

would love it if someone can help me out.

I have enclosed the image i want to edit.

Enlarge it and use the pen tool with a shape layer to draw it as a vector shape and then use Layer styles to do the outlines etc.
Once it's a shape layer you can resize to your hearts content as it won't degrade.
