GOLF Anyone

Hi, i'm the new guy.!

I'm trying to learn how to draw a golf course,
i.e. cg views of individual holes as you might find in a course guide book.
see this link for an example of what i'm trying to do.

kauricliffs.com/course
(link incomplete, i can't post a link for some administritive reason, but just add some w's?)

on the site click on a red hole number for a map of a hole, these individual holes are what i'm trying to replicate..

i have tinkered with photoshop but its so massive i can't keep it simple enough,
is photoshop the right tool for this?
if so where do i start..
any suggestions would be appreciated,
cheers

you can do this on photoshop, but i dont know if it is ideal. I know a few colleges have a golf course design major...I'm sure you could find out if they use a golf course specific program

Yeah, I'm thinking that if you don't have an aerial source photo to use as a stencil, then this will be very difficult to do well in PS. The graphics aren't particularly difficult to pull off, but getting it to the correct scale and shape could end up being a nightmare.
