Image for website I started working on

Hi PSG'ers, happy new year to everyone. Started working on a new website and came up with this header image. Learned about the Ground-Plane Shadow Catcher. What do you all think?

Its a cool design but maybe take the bulge out as it makes it a bit hard to read

Do you mean the bulge from the shadow underneath the text? Or from the outer glow? This file only has 2 layers, but the 3D layer has all kinds of different stuff in it; spot and point lights, layer effects, boy can I get carried away.

What time is it in the UK Hoogle? And the date for that matter?

It is now 01:18 , but about the header, I don't like the way the reflection is cut off at the left of the image, and the 3d effects have merged the front face with some of the shadows, or that is what it looks like.

    Happy new year!

Yep Spruce has pretty much answered the question the way the arc of the text goes merges into the extruded nurbs I dont know what 3d program your using but you can duplicate the text and on the 2nd copy put a fillet on it with a contrasting colour.
Kind of like my sig pic but more subtle.

This just looks wrong to me, nothing matches and there is no flow to it, it is very difficult to read and sort from the poor colour choices within, it looks muddy and washed out and it's not even centred?
Sorry mate, but thats how i see it.

Oh and tip if you want a reflection you will need a reflective surface for it to come off And just had a play with it and you really are not going to get best results for 3d in that font you may want to try faux 3d

I can't use a faux font type here Hoogle as Ps doesn't allow it for 3d text. Everyone's comments are duly noted though.
