Hello,i am new in PS world.. i am using PS CS5 and i am working on it 5,6 days...so this is one of my first works i wanna know what you guys think about it.. if someone wanna help me and teach me more about PS...send me private message..
in this photo i was using "tattoo brush" to make death...

Hmm i was thinking about making better background so i downloaded lightning brushes and make this :

I think if you lower the shadows just a little bit more, and maybe blur it once more.

Lover shadow's opacities, also try using simple gradients with small color changes. First one lacks some detail, you could add some texture and set layer style to overlay or color burn lower opacity. Second one is too dark, maybe change color of "reaper" to white.
