They are displayed below your username on all posts that you make. You can select the image that best describes yourself from your profile options. [Click on Profile (top of each page) and then follow Modify Profile / Forum Profile information / I will upload my own picture / browse / and click button that reads 'change profile' when you're done. The maximum size of the avatar is 100 by 100 pixels and the file size should be kept under 15 KB. How to add an attachment Make sure that you keep the file size of your attachments under 150 KB and we would really appreciate it if you keep it under 50 KB. For some images GIF is a better option than JPEG, especially if you use a limited set of colors. For most purposes a JPEG quality factor between 50-60 will be sufficient. The Photoshop option New / Save for WEB is very helpful. Try to keep the width of your images under 600 pixels; this makes it possible for people with smaller screen resolutions to view the image full screen. It?s always allowed to add a link to an image stored elsewhere using the IMG tag. It?s advisable to mention the size of that specific file in your post. When to turn off smilies If you post a message and you notice that pieces of your text are replaced by smilies; edit your post and select Disable Smiles in This Post Member titles Every member has a title. ? ?0-? 25? posts : New member 25-125? posts: Active Member? ? 125-249 posts: Valued Member 250-499 posts: Honored Member? 500-? ? ? ?posts: Veteran Member MOD Squad: Moderators If you have any other questions, feel free to post them in one of our forums or page any of our moderators. |
