| A hello and request for suggestions Gaussian, Sorry if you misunderstood. My comment "to...download the necessary codecs" was referring to whatever codec would serve the same function as indeo...a replacement for it so the audio file would work on a system without indeo. I guess I find it hard to believe all those audio files out there that require the indeo codec will no longer be workable on new XP systems or systems such as yours. I assumed (a dangerous thing I know) MS would have a different codec that could be downloaded that would replace the indeo codec. Needless to say, I am as much a novice in this area as I am with PS.
