.obj file won't open
Downloaded the CS5 extended demo and tried to open a 158K .obj file and I get a 'not enough ram' message. I know this 4 year old iMac only has 128MB of video RAM but a 158K file. If it won't even open one of those I may as well save some money and go for the plain CS5. It seems most of the difference between the 2 versions is 3D stuff anyway. I use X-plane a lot and it uses .obj files in it's scenery. The texture file that belongs to it is a 1.5mb .png file

I think it means not enough RAM memory, not video memory. How much RAM memory do you have?

I have 2GB RAM. I don't seem to have any problems with content aware stuff. I also have about 160GB free on my scratch disk...my hard drive that is. my external drive is a usb and not firewire so probably not fast enough to use. from googling this problem most people seem to get the 'not enough ram' message when using content aware tools....so far no problems in that respect here...as an aside...for an 'oldie' black type on a black background is a bit hard on the eyes

2GB should be enough. You could try opening Photoshop and go to Edit --> Preferences --> Performance and increase the amount of memory Photoshop can use, see if that helps any.
What black text on black background are you referring to? Text here in the forum should be light color on dark background.

I've tried giving PS 90%...still no luck. When I started the thread the heading was white text on black but the body text area was black on black...replies are OK
