PhotoShop Pro w. Advanced Skills Needed to Improve Quality of Some Photos

I'm looking for a Photoshop guru who knows how to get the best picture quality possible to improve a dozen or so photos that are to go on an online portfolio.

I am a designer with more then competent PS skills but for some reason I just can't get these photos to the level of quality that I am looking for. I've tried advanced sharpening and adjustment techniques as well as the basics but I'm just not happy with the results.
