Spammers hiding their intentions.

One of the rules at Photoshopgurus.com is that members are not allowed to link to other sites in their first 25 posts.
We?re now dealing with a good example as why we introduced this rule, but more about that later.

We had a spam problem not long ago, which was luckily solved after a new update of the board?s software (image verification).

Spammers are like weed, they never stop. In this example they try to pretend to be a newmember with an innocent question.

Members who link to a page on another site (not a link to an image) always raise a red flag for me. In this example I?ve checked the member?s previous posts and the result can be seen here:

I will ban this person, but will not delete his posts so that they can serve as an example of how spammers work.

Sorry if I some of you answered his posts, but I do try to stop these guys as soon as possible (already stopped similar acting members (read spammers) a few times), but in this case I haven?t been on the board for a few days while doing other things.

If you have any doubts about a post, feel free to click on the Report to moderator link in the bottom right corner of every post and I will return to the board with a bottle of

as soon as possible.

Re: Spammers hiding their intentions.

Here's another example. Do they really think that I'm not seeing those things?

I used roundup again...
