Organizing photos within an album

I am new to PS Elements 6. Within an album how to I get my photos into alphabetical order by how I have titled them? Regarding sorting by date I am frustrated. It seems that PS order numberically by the first digit rather than two digits. If I want to sort by month or date it puts the month 11 after the month 1 rather than after the month 10? Can anyone help me?

I am looking for your wisdom
