    Descreening

I don't know if "descreening" is standard photo processing jargon or if it is just used by scanner manufacturers. Most scanned images of magazines or comic books will show the little printing dots and descreening will blur those dots but preserve the sharpness of the image. In other words it reduces the halftone moiré patterns.

Here are some ways I have read that it can be done with photoshop.

I am trying to find an automated way to descreen a bunch of images. Any tips?

    Thanks!
