    clouds

ok..this is going to sound newbie but there just must be something i am doing wrong.

    I am following this tut

    http://psd.tutsplus.com/tutorials/te...l-text-effect/

i set the bg colors correctly by the gradiant tool.

but its asking me to Filter > Render > Clouds.

but when i do that, my canvas goes to clouds but black and white and i loose my blue coloring - Does anyone know what could be going wrong?

    Thanks

    Paul

If you notice on the toolbar on the left, near the bottom of the window there are 2 squares, one slightly overlapping the other?

click on the top square, and when the colour selection box comes up set it to #18323a like the tutorial suggests
click on the square underneath that and set it to black (#000000)

then do filter > render > clouds

    Hope that helps

Setting colors for the gradient tool only affect the gradient tool.
