Hello all.
I was wondering what would be the best way to make an image of a heart "beat" and look realistic. I've searched for tutorials and only found animated hearts.

Thanks in advanced!

Your best bet would probably be to do it in Adobe After Effects.

I would take an image of a real heart select the area where you see it beat and then do this ;)
use your sherize filter after selection(feather it appropriately ) then go to town on it as you like speed, the amount of enlargement, color .......etc Could make it look very real with PS if you take your time .this is just about 4 minutes to do using a picture found on web
more time needed to get better results but entirely possible

ImageReady was used in older versions of Photoshop.
Now in the toolbar you go to Windows|Animation and do you're animation there.
Create a layer and make it a Frame in the Animation Window
