Need help with this photoshop tutorial

In this tutorial it isn't clearly written how to get the 3d part to the text in Adobe Illustrator
Can someone please write in a little bit detail how to get the 3D part of the text,
More specifically the numbers and settings in the 3D Extrude and Bevel Options. It would help me a lot.

You just need to create your text, scale it up to the size you want, add a color, and then choose "Effect/3D", then make sure your "preview" option is on
when happy, export it as .png

Grab the corners of the little cube and drag them into the position you want, play with the settings, or just use the default
