About LinkBacksPhotoshop CS4 Extended hangs up when I try to resize an image. The image is a JPEG and is only 52KB. It hangs up when resizing the same size tiff and photoshop file types. Does anyone know of a solution to this issue?

It could be a corrupt preferences file.
Start Photoshop and immediately hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows)
or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS X).
Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"
