I have NEVER had an issue like this before. As soon as I open an image the program shuts down!( Of course, I have a backlog of work that is all due ASAP and I can't do ANYTHING!!!
If there are any kind souls that can understand what this crash report is telling me and how to fix, I would be greatly appreciative! Thanks in advance for your time and attention.
(Apparently, I can not post the report here. It's too long)

I did try that already. as well as checking all my fonts... looks like I can create a new file with no problems. but opening an existing file crashes photoshop instantly.
If I'm not mistaken, I remember a thread here with such a problem.... caused by a graphics card problem. I think it was Hoogle, our other MOD who determined that. Try send him a pm. He's online now.... http://www.photoshopgurus.com/forum/members/hoogle.html
I wouldnt have thought it was a graphics card issue but we can try
open up this image and go to filter > distort > twirl and move the slider either fully to the left or right and press ok and then keep pressing control (command on your mac I believe) and F so it repeats the filter if you can do it 10 times shouldnt be the graphics card. My guess is it is your ram that is damaged do you have any other high ram draining applications like after effects or something you getting the same problem with.
Ps I was not online just came on from email notification of a pm lol
Just opened your full report are you running a program called font forge or any kind of font manager plugin linked to photoshop or your font folder that could be the issue if so try reinstalling it with latest updates
All I use now is the FontBook that came on board but I had downloaded a couple different font editor programs. Just recently dumped them all, think that might the issue?
I think that is the problem everytime photoshop loads it scans the default font folder and each manager will create registry keys so I am guessing it is confusing photoshop. I cant reccomend a good registry cleaner for mac but if you google and clean up your registry files making sure all font managers are uninstalled you should fix the problem
