Photoshop cs3 crashing

I seem to have a problem with my photosop cs3 crashing. When I start the program, it starts to load and then after about 20 secs it disappears. Please help.

What version OS are you running? Has it started before successfully? Do you have any previous versions of Photoshop on the computer? Have you thought about contacting Adobe about it?

Sometimes it's just as simple as reinstalling the program.
You could also delete the preference-file.
On a XP-system that could be in
Documents and Settings\[yourusername]\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3

Mindbender. Thanks. I am using Windows XP. Yes it has worked successfully before and I have version CS2 on as well.

When does it crash? Photoshop loads a lot of things, like preference file, extensions, plug-ins, fonts, etc. Once we know where it quits we can advice you were to look. You might also consider to delete your preference file: hold shift+control+alt when you start Photoshop (shift+Command+option on the Mac).
