Airbrush banding

Hello all

Im using PS CS3 with a wacom tablet on an 20 inch alum iMac (the display is CRAP). Im having banding issues when using the airbrush on a dark background. Maybe someone can help me out with this. checkout the screen cap here: www.aerstudio.com/bloodybanding.jpg and www.aerstudio.com/bloodybanding2.jpg (close up).

As you can see it happens most notably when the opacity and flow are lowest.

What am i doing wrong?

have you tried adding just enough noise to break up the banding?

Adding a noise will take care of it for certain. Also, you could try reducing your brush size. I have noticed similiar things when the brush is set at 800px or above on larger documents.

Hope this helps
