Advice for a semi-beginner
Welcome aboard rocT
I am sure that you will find this place useful and nice. All the teenagers here are picking their noses and playing computer games without being angry
The most important thing is to observe. If you want to make cool graphics look at good examples. Examine them in photoshop (a screen capture could provide useful information). At first try to make replicas and when your skills have improved make your own. If you want to make images of real-life objects look at that object in real life. How does it reflect light, what colour is it, is it shiny or not etc.
You will find some very good tutorials here at PSG. You can find tons of tutorials via Google. I can recommend this site:

I visited your web. I don't like navigation systems that contains of small squares without text. Is it because I use Opera that I don't see nothing at all? It didn't even find any 'damer' ;)
lykke til!
