Save for Web quality degradation problems

Hello all, Im trying to put together my first website. The content is mostly high quality, images with many color gradients. I have already created the website in dreamweaver as html. It works fine like this, and looks great as well. However, I wanted to have my own font, and have it with different colors and gradients. Since I could not find an easy way to do this in dreamweaver, I re-created the page in photoshop to my liking. However, after I slice and try to save for web, the quality seems greatly reduced, even on the highest settings. The colors and gradients look fine uploaded straight to my website as png's (save as), but when I try to save for web the colors take a major hit in quality that is far from acceptable for my art. Is there a reason for this that im missing? There must be a way to upload a sliced page from photoshop into dreamweaver without losing quality...

I'm including a before save for web and after save for web image.

Thanks for any help guys
