    Seamless Filters...

    Sorry people... i've been holding this info for a long time... i forgot to 'share' it here. Don't know what i was thinking... DOH! [doh] [oops]

    It's a fairly well know fact that Photoshop will seamlessly tile the Clouds filter when applied to documents with dimensions that are a multiple of 128.

    i.e. 128x128 / 256x256 / 512x512 / 1024x1024 / etc, etc...

    BUT!...Did you also know...

    ...that you can mix those dimensions amongst each other? Try it!

    i.e. 128x256 / 128x512 / 256x512 / 512x1024 / etc, etc...

    And these sizes are of course reversable also.

    AND!...Did you also know...

    ...that this little quirk of Photoshop's can also be applied to a number of other native PS filters. Experiment to find out which will work like this. :B

    Have fun!

    :::BEGIN EDIT:::
    Guys i have just come to realize that the example image i posted did in fact have a seam in it. Albeit quite faint and not running all the way down, it wasn't completely seamless, which is what i tauted about.

    It would appear that certain filters, like Craquelure, only apply themselves half seamless.

    All of the other above info is correct though. No worries.
    Just this one snafu blew up in my face. Aaah well, such is life.

    I humbly apologize for the misinfo, and hope to redeem myself in the future with another useful tip perhaps.
    :::END EDIT:::

    Actually G not many people do know that. It's not anything found in the manual, so unless you just happen to stumble across it, you'll never know.

    I found out about the "equal dimension" method several years ago, then out of curiousity found out about the other effects.
