    PHP and My SQL

I am trying to install a php script and in the readme file that came with it it says

Set the attributes of the file "lplist.txt"
to 666 - meaning read and write access for
    all parties.

Question; how do I set the attributes of the file to 666 - or anything else for that matter?

This is Unix related. You can change the attributes with any good FTP program. In CuteFTP Pro for example you just right click the directory/file and select 'properties (CHMOD)'.

A good site for free PHP and CGI scripts is http://www.resourceindex.com/

    PHP and My SQL

Not sure if this is the right place for this but here goes, as most of you know I have done and am maintaining the site for the 2004 Manitoba Summer Games. Well I wanted a forum on the site but I really didnt need one as big as PPHBBS like this board so I looked around and found the greatest little board, it's called Chipmunk, it's easy to set up and maintain and great for a small site that wants to have a forum. Though someone might be interested so here is a link to the one I am using if you care to have a look

    http://www.2004mtsmanitobagames.ca/board/index.php

requires php and mysql, but I think it's kind of neat and it's free too

    Thanks Linda

    - mind if I ask a question?

    - our City has posted a request for tenders to maintain the city website for the next year and I am planning on putting in a tender, I don't think they want a redesign just someone to maintain and upgrade the site. I haven't got a clue what to charge. For my own clients, when I design the site I will give the a price of $100.00/ month to keep it maintained, but that is because I wrote the code and know my way around, I would think that I would need to charge more for a site written by someone else as it would be a lot more difficult.

This is a pretty big site 300 plus pages and not very well commented. What do you think?
