Making a site resolution indipendent
how to make a website resolution independent? so if someone's on 800x600 or 1024x...... it should automatically increase or decrease it's stuff.Thanx
Should I put two links saying choose your screen resolution "800x600" and the other and then put the main thing on two pages.

the simplest way to do that is to make tables based on percentages instead of pixels. this should make your webpages the same size regardless of the users screen resolution.
example: you have a table embedded, set it's width to 90%. now you want to add 2 tables inside that main table -- set their widths to 40% each. This way, the site isn't pixel dominated -- rather is percentage dominated!!
Hope this works for you.

you are most welcome! I used to have that problem a long time ago when I designed my first site! I noticed that in 800x600 -- it looked REALLY wierd. But in 1024x768 -- it looked exactly the way I wanted it to. Then I discovered the wonder of percentages!!
