Illustrator Illustrator image in InDesign

Hi!


Can you help me. I am new to this. I have a brochure from a designer made in InDesign CS 5.5 - When I open it the picture made in Illustrator (eps-file) has a white background but should have a transparent background.

How do I make the Illustrator image with transparent background?

The white background is the Art Board I am assuming if you just export it as a png you should see that it has gone, If you need better reolution go for tiff or PSD
