I am new to Illustrator....glad to find this forum here.
I am doing a tutorial and it says I must make 2 lines and blend them with spacing at 10. I assume they mean steps.

I have both lines selected, double click on the blend tool as the tut says. Nothing happens.
The screenshot shows what this should look like if done right.
What else am I supposed to do? If you need more screenshots let me know.

Thanks

select both lines go to object > Blend > Blend Options set the option from color to steps choose 10 then ok then go to object> blend > Make

and it should be all done.

Or...with the blend tool click on the center of the first line then click the center of the other. Go to Object-Blend-Blend Options to change it as needed.

You know I had tried all that and failed. But I started over and made sure to add color to my lines and it worked!
Thank you for helping.
