Just to add... better if you darken the scene. In this way, adding whatever hilight effects and glows will make the scene more dramatic. Think Fantastic Four... Mostly all the scenes of Human Torch using his powers are either at night, dark areas or with a dark background....seldom in the bright of day.

I would consider removing the BG and placing him in a more interesting and darker BG.

Is that his real hair? Or did you Photoshop that?
