Just a quick PS

Hello,

I want to get rid of the black color on the attached jpg and convert it to transparent png. I haven't used PS for the last 10 years; any help is appreciated.

Additionally, it is going to be a logo. There will be written BEAM on top of the laser. If you can also make it with a nice look, I would be thankful.
