Hi fellow PSGs,

You might have noticed that Hoogle isn't around the last couple days. I was hoping he would be home back with us by now and I wouldn't have to share this, but he's not.

He went emergently into the hospital the day before yesterday (being on the west coast of the USA I can't swear to the timing for you Continentals and UKers). He is on medication (and that is his prerogative to disclose), and one of the drugs was given in too large a dose and has had serious side effects. It may be awhile before this dissipates and his system is clear. He'll be back. Maybe once he's feeling better, someone will bring him a laptop so he can join us. Or maybe he'll be home soon. I hope so.

And whatever you might do to bring good energy - prayer, meditation, calling upon the Universe, hugging a tree - please do so and send some his way.

Thanks, and if he were here I know he would say:

"Play Nice."

Cheers, Clare

Speaking on behalf of Hoogle and his loved ones who are aware of your postings, thanks all for your concerns and well wishes. I don't have any news today, which I don't think is a good thing . . . he is in serious condition.

I just hope his family and friends are too busy visiting and chatting with him to get back to me. I'll update when I can.

Well, even as I wrote that, I received an update. A specialist has been brought in to help straighten out the mess the current doctors are making by trying to deal with stuff that is way beyond their expertise. From what I understand, that is a big deal when you have socialized medicine.

I wouldn't know as there are huge numbers of us here in the US with no coverage at all.

He is not out of the woods, but he is a fighter. I have been told It is OK to share that he is on life support and currently in surgery. Here is a quote from his friend Katie:

"They [doctors] do say however that they are confident if they get the right balance of drugs then he will be back to normal within a couple of hours and expect him to make a fast recovery. It is a case of delicate treatment now though as he really cant take a fast hard quick fix approach his body will just fight it and shut down quicker than they can stabalise it."

I guess I will wait to make another post until he is better.

Whats that to do with it mate? The NHS is a brilliant service provider, just that 'sadly' sometimes things are done wrongly and people do get hurt by others actions.
Thinking of you H, and like iDAD said 'i hate to read this stuff' echoed mate.

Nothing wrong with asking mate, just no need to play the blame game because of media, no real facts so.
