Hi guys,

Do you know how to make an animation on a certain part of a GIF image? Like a man walking but his background wont change just the man is animating on the GIF. I tried the usual transparent on all layers except the background layer but it wont work on GIF. can anyone help me?

Well you're saving as a GIF but you should be working it as a multi-level PSD.
What you say is not working for you is exactly that you should be doing.

A static background with other layers with no background.
Those other layers show different movements.

I put this together really quick just to show movement on a static background.
Here's the GIF and the PSD to look at.
Move.gif

Substitute these movements for your walking man.
Heres the PSD.

Steve... Paul... maybe I'll try that out on you guys one day.... lol...

If you mean a non-animated gif... Convert the image to RGB.

You will be able to isolate the man and layer animate him in sequence. As well as retouching the background to cover where the man was.

Hope this helps....
