Hi Folks!

I have a very big layer stack (about 100) and I want to know if it's possible to merge two layers mantaining the maks (in both the same mask), I have tried but not working methods...

Thanks!

Save each mask as an Alpha channel.
Delete each mask from its layer.
Merge the 2 layers.
Use Ctrl + Alt + Shift (intersect selection) to Load both the Alpha channels.
Add a new layer mask using this combined selection.

If I've deciphered the question correctly that's what I'd do.

Regards.
MrTom.

Thanks MrTom, I was wondering if there was other "less manually" workaround, but it doesn't matter, it was only for time consuming issues... As I said, in the commercial job, I use about one hundred layers in a complex paintings and it's hard to merge each layers with it's mask...

Thanks again MrTom.

I haven't tried it yet, but it should be possible to highlight the two layers you would like to be merged, then run a ACTION created from Mrt's formula. This would speed up the process considerably.
