Ok, this one is a real challenge! Are you up to it?

Usual tools, clone, heal and about 3 hours.
I've probably missed a few bits but its close enough for a practice.

These look great guys! I did get started but I have not found the time to even work on mine!

Any tricks to quickly remove the pen ink other than the usual methods?

Unless you count two cups of coffee and a trip to the toilet 'secret' I'm afraid its just plain old clone and heal.

Hi Sam and MrTom

Just wondering how in your second images you are able to post the work that you done as in the below, sorry if that's sound like a silly question. When I was doing mine I just make the adjustments on a new layer!

These are all the changes on a new layer. I have a layer under it with the silvery gray color.
 
Ditto Sam...

All my work is done on a new layer with the tools set to work on the current [new blank] layer and below.
For posting on here I just put a 'teal' layer under it and saved that out too.

LOL...I'm not counting...its not a competition....the thanks go to you for posting it in the first place.

Could you possibly post the full size version, of the finished image, you did....I'd just like to compare the three versions...it's interesting to see just how close they are.

When you think they are all done independently I find it pretty cool!

As I was comparing, I noticed several mistakes I've made in areas that I was concerned with while working on the restoration.

Let me make some minor corrections and I will post the full size image.

LOL...I noticed a couple I made too....including completely mistaking part of the image for a scratch.....twice!

I'll quietly change mine too I think....when nobody is looking.

Actually, I won't make the changes............that way we can see what we did different.
