Hello all,
I need to make a triangle and the drop down is set for fixed and I don't seem to have an "unconstrained" option like I do with the rectangle. It will only make ready-made triangles. What to do?
Thanks,
pslane

Can you be a little more specific about how you are creating this triangle? (Or not as the case may be)

Are you making a marquee....a shape.....using the pen tool.....what ya doing?

Where is this 'fixed' dropdown?

Regards.
MrTom.

I think he's using the Polygon Tool set to 3 sides.

Make your Triangle and then adjust the Height or width.

Hmmmm.....

I don't have any 'dropdown', fixed or otherwise for the polygon tool.

The only tools I can think of that have 'fixed' as an option are the marquee tools.......so I dunno?

The custom shape tool has an unconstrained option.

The anticipation is killing me!!! :banghead:

...The custom shape tool has an unconstrained option...
Indeed, as do most of the shapes, but is it a shape the OP is trying to create?

The suspense is killing me!

Now that's just ridiculous.

I'm going to check my office for hidden camera's.

Okay, here's a screen shot of my drop down, using the polygon option with 3 sides. I cannot make my triangle just any size I pull it out to, which is what I want to do. Yes, I know I could make it with custom shapes but it would seem that I could do it this way, too. Thanks.

You got it! I've been just trying a zero in the box, which it won't accept. Thanks to you and everybody!
