How to insert a new picture beside existing one?

I have picture in my project. I make it black and white. know i want to insert new picture. but every time i insert new one, It become black and white too. how can I prevent this?

Hi saeedeh

Before inserting the color image go to Image, Mode and make sure RGB Color is selected, I'd say the Greyscale option is ticked

Just one question, you mention that you "make it black and white" how exactly are you doing that, if you use one of the Image Adjustments options like Hue/Saturation or Black $ White the image mode will stay as RGB Color.

I used image>> mode>> grayscale
I think choosing that option cause that problem.
