Hello all,

I'm wondering if anyone can help me make the attached jpg. file into a transparent png file. I'm looking to have all of the red removed and only have the black logo available. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!!

Use SELECT > Colour Range

Sample the red bits till its almost gone and then adjust the 'Fuzzyness' to remove the rest.

You don't need to use the 'Fuzzyness' slider but if you don't you'll get a very 'hard' edge to your selection......a little 'Fuzzyness' gives you a softer, smoother edge.

Once you have your selection use Alt + click 'Add Layer Mask' icon to add a mask to remove the red.
Ctrl + Click the layer mask THUMBNAIL to load the selection again.
Create a new layer.
Fill selection with black.

Use FILE > Save For Web... and select PNG-24 from the presets....make sure 'Transparency' is checked.

Regards.
