Paul - Suppose you're at a truck show admiring the years of work someone has obviously put into their pet project.
You see the phenomenal paint job, the detailing, the wild upholstery, the lowered suspension, new rims, new tires, the added rear and front lip spoilers, all the different chromed replacement parts, the sound system, the under-car lighting, the breather mods to the hood, the beautiful new radiator, the upgraded engine and the matching tuned headers and exhaust system, the shiny new intercooler, a beautiful new chrome air filter and valve covers, the new light bar with all the modern lights, and everything else that has been modified, and this guy walks up and asks you, "How did they do that?".
Is your first response likely to be to list all the things that you know have been done, or are you more likely to try to strike up a conversation by asking back, "How did they do *what*?"
Even worse, before the 1st guy can even answer you, this wise-guy who you know is also an expert on cars also walks up and says, "Hey, Paul, why don't you be a nice guy and just list everything that you see for the 1st guy -- that's all he wants."
Got the picture?
