i can work with almost everything but i dont know the effects that is used to create such an effect on the picture
and when i say 10 years i am talking about the basics

this effect looks like some kind of filter , but not a standard one that is already in photoshop

what do you think?

Other than some careful lighting, especially the near-rim lighting coming from behind and off to the sides of the animal, the post processing is basically the same procedure that is used to produce pix like this.

(BTW, you probably have to log in to see the above link)

This look was incredibly popular (ie, an overused fad) for sports images a year or so ago, but fortunately, seems to have died down a bit. It was discussed in quite a few threads here on PSG. Here are two:

Also, here is a general thread that gives links to other, often closely related, special effects:

HTH,

Tom M

PS - Sorry to have to harp on this, but there simply is no such thing as "The Topaz Look". They make around 15 or 16 different pieces of software, all of which do different things and impart very different looks to an image. If one wants to identify the utility of Topaz products in producing images like this, their most relevant products are probably "Adjust", "Detail", and "Clean" [/rant=OFF]
