Hello everyone

Sometimes when i take pictures of reflective products i get this white glare on the edges.
The problem is not big when i intend to use it on white background

but when using in colored backgrounds this white glare makes the product looks out of place

I tried some ways to fix this but none satisfied me.
Does someone knows how to fix this?
I want to make the edges more natural looking when used in any background color.

Thank you!

Go to 'image' --- 'adjustments' --- 'shadows/highlights'

Play with the sliders until you remove the 'glare' on the edge.

Afterwards you can correct the general colors in an adjustment layer.

Hi Flavio

Always many ways to got after such a problem. Here is yet another.

In this case I made a color selection of the gold area as well as the green area and then inverted.
Then created a solid fill Layer set to Blend of Color (The prior selection is turned into a Layer Mask on the Solid Color Fill Layer)
Change Color of Solid Fill to the background color
Reduce Opacity to taste so the highlighted edge appears as ti would in nature with a partial absorbtion/reflection of the colors surrounding the bucket.
