The tutorial will show you how to add the inside of the ring.

As for the diamond............that will come later. It's easy, it's just a matter of finding the right diamond image, removing it from it's background, and adding it to the ring.

You won't be able to use any of the diamonds from the rings you photographed. You will need to choose photos of diamonds that have been properly photographed under the right lighting to show their brilliance.

if i have that what can i do with it

Look, the bottom line is that by the time you acquire the skill set to get to the point were you can create composite rings for the photos you already have, you could have easily re-taken all the photos and not have to do much of anything in post other than a few minor adjustments.

You are choosing the absolute most difficult solution for your problem.

But............if you insist...............Photoshop or Illustrator are the best tools for creating composite rings. Photoshop's 3D engine will not offer much help and has a steep learning curve.

Since I have very little experience with Ai, I would use Photoshop. I would do it very similar to the video you posted. The main tool you will need to master is the Pen Tool.

Here are some tutorials on the Pen Tool:

Let me be blunt: From your very first post when you asked for "an action or plugin", in other words, a miracle, one-button fix, it was obvious that you have only minimal experience with photoshop. You might be able to learn what you need to do this sort of work in weeks, or, more likely, months of intensive practice guided by an instructor, but as of right now, you are unqualified.

It sounds like someone (your boss, perhaps) gave you this assignment thinking that since you know something about photoshop, you'll be able to get it done. Unfortunately, your boss didn't realize that it can take years of daily, wide-ranging experience with PS before one can tackle some assignments. There are plenty of things I can't do in Photoshop, and I've been actively using the program since it first came out in the 1990's.

IMHO, in such a situation, the best thing to do is to have an honest, heart-to-heart talk with your boss. Tell him that you appreciate his confidence in you, but this is over your head, and if he really needs this work done for his business, he should contract the work out to someone who knows what they are doing.

Again, sorry to have to be so blunt, but this is a situation where honesty, not trying to "fake it" is the best policy.

Good luck,

Tom M

...how easy it is to make photos with this?...
It isn't.....period.

I've used VRay for many years and it isn't something you can just use out of the box......it'll take years to learn it to the standards you are talking about.

Also, you'll need to create the 3D models for VRay to render, do you have a professional 3D package that can use the VRay Rendering Engine Plug-in?

If not, that could be another whole wad of cash right there...and more learning of that software too....which again, isn't easy.

I don't know what the solution to your problem is....but It isn't VRay.

Regards.

I thought I would see what I could do with your image. It's not really finished, but I'm not sure it would be ethical to take it further. You don't want to misrepresent the product to prospective buyers.

Obviously it would be much better to start with a quality image.
