I am trying to put some carved text onto a floating stone tablet
I am wondering what are some ways to give the stone obelisk kinda thing some definition. I have tried a number of common ways and combinations of blending modes and they don't seem to my satisfaction. I tried doing it in 3D too, but I couldnt figure out how to "drape" a flat texture over an extruded layer.
It looks like this...
and I have a layer like this.
it doesn't have to look realistic, but right now it is a bit weak.
